ABOUT  ME

Hi! My name is Catriona Ross, and I’m currently an undergraduate student
in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring
in Art and working toward a Bachelor of Science degree. My creative journey
is rooted in a lifelong love of visual storytelling and fueled by an eagerness
to keep learning, growing, and experimenting with new styles and techniques.
My passion for art and design truly took shape during high school at the Dwight
School in New York City, where I was part of the International Baccalaureate
program. Taking HL Art allowed me to dive deep into conceptual thinking and
mixed-media creation, ultimately culminating in a solo gallery show during my
Senior year—a milestone that solidified my desire to pursue a creative path.

Since coming to Madison, I’ve expanded my digital media skills and become
proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I’m especially drawn
to projects that blend aesthetics with purpose—whether that’s a compelling
social campaign, an eye-catching poster, or a visual identity that tells a story.
My main interests lie in graphic design for advertising and social media marketing, where creativity meets strategy and design has the power to drive real impact.

In the summer of 2022, I interned with Bobbi Brown as an assistant to the Social
Media Creative Director. I helped coordinate photoshoots, created detailed shot
lists, and listened in on marketing planning for the winter collection. This
experience gave me a deeper appreciation for brand storytelling and the behind-
the-scenes work that brings a campaign to life.

Beyond the classroom, I’m always looking to collaborate with other creatives
through student organizations, freelance work, or personal projects. I believe in
the power of design to connect people, shift perspectives, and leave a lasting
impression, and I’m excited to keep exploring that through every project I take on.
